Responsibilities / Tasks
We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Field Service Engineer to join our team. This is a UK field-based role that will involve regular travel across the country, including overnight stays and significant mileage. The role will also require participation in an on-call rota, covering one weekend in every eight.
Core Responsibilities
Servicing, maintaining, and repairing SFT Homogenizers and separation equipment at customer sites.
Communicating clearly with customers and keeping them informed during service visits.
Preparing for site visits by ensuring parts, tools, and equipment are ready and in good condition.
Using correct working methods and ensuring special tooling is clean, safe, and operational.
Supporting workshop-based service and repair work when required.
Keeping working areas clean and tidy and disposing of waste in line with guidelines.
Professional Responsibilities
Act professionally and courteously to deliver excellent customer service.
Build strong relationships with customers and positively promote the company at every interaction.
Admin and Reporting
Complete service reports accurately and on time.
Keep the Service Coordinator updated on your daily schedule.
Report any damage to tools, equipment, or vehicles promptly.
Equipment & Vehicle Care
Look after company equipment and your service vehicle.
Ensure both are maintained according to manufacturer and lease requirements.
Availability Requirements
Some overtime and occasional weekend work to meet customer needs.
Participation in regular engineering team meetings.
Flexibility to support changing workloads in a fast-paced environment.
Development & Growth
Ongoing training to expand your technical knowledge.
Hands-on experience with a range of separation equipment and processes.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Qualified to a minimum City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Strong mechanical knowledge is essential, with electrical knowledge considered a distinct advantage.
Solid understanding of health and safety practices within the workplace.
Experience servicing and upgrading high-pressure homogenisers, with typical pressure ranges from 100 to 2000 bar.
Ideally familiar with the dairy, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.
Ability to work carefully, methodically, and safely, both independently and as part of a team.
Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK. Please note we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
