Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Livelihoods & Economic Recovery

  • Facilitate and coach households to implement farm and non-farm small businesses.
  • Support formation and capacity building of community savings groups.
  • Monitor village savings and loan schemes with saving agents/mobilizers.

WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene)

  • Collaborate with WASH Officer to support water system construction, household treatment, and rainwater harvesting, and latrine construction.
  • Distribute water filters and conduct water quality testing.
  • Promote hygiene behavior change and community-led WASH management.
  • Form and support WASH User Groups

Protection, GEDSI & DRR

  • Collaborate with Child Protection & Safeguarding Officer to conduct awareness sessions, and assist in GBV and child protection case management
  • Support assessments, child participation, and inclusion of PwDs.
  • Support to Establish feedback and complaint mechanisms.
  • Support formation of DRR committees, plans, and early warning systems.

Community Engagement & Transformational Development

  • Collaborate with the National Office team to conduct community consultations meeting/ workshops
  • Facilitate to establish Child Advisory Committees and Support sponsorship processes.
  • Assist in hosting Community Summits and drafting multi-year Area Program Plans.

Faith & Development

  • Support engagement of faith leaders in promoting family and youth development.
  • Assist in organizing trainings and workshops for religious leaders.
  • Distribute resources and monitor outcomes of family strengthening sessions.

Apply updated monitoring systems for data and reporting.

  • Collect, analyze, and compile quality data on time.
  • Submit reports to relevant teams as scheduled.
  • Support communities in achieving goals and developing monitoring systems

Contribute to strategic improvement through feedback, reporting, and team participation.

  • Document program learning and reflections for relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide input to enhance ministry tools.
  • Foster effective collaboration within the team and with partners Regular team’s sharing and planning meeting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Agriculture, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community development, WASH, livelihoods, or protection.
  • Proficiency in local languages. Working proficiency in English is asset.
  • Ability to travel frequently to targeted area. Valid Motorbike license is an asset. 
  • Able to use motorbike is preferred.
  • Experience working in multicultural, disaster-affected communities is highly desirable.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and community mobilization skills.
  • Knowledge of GEDSI, safeguarding, and DRR principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusion.
  • Proficiency in local languages.
  • Basic Computer literacy of using Microsoft 365, and other work-related software
