Job Description:
Hitachi Honolulu JV (HHJV) is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated – Facility Manager to work on our Honolulu Rail Project. As the successful candidate your ideas for continuous improvement and creativity are welcome. The position is based in Pearl City, HI.
Technical Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, direction and supervision of Facility maintenance teams and external suppliers in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance.
 - Manages the operation of all building aspects of lighting circuits, electrical circuits and panels and other building and station electrical, plumbing, HVAC, FDAS, mechanical, structural building equipment etc.
 - Manages 3rd party suppliers of performing preventive, unscheduled maintenance, cleaning and landscaping.
 - Oversee and respond (when required) to equipment malfunctions completing repairs as assigned. Uses electronic test equipment, power tools and other specialized hand tools as required.
 - Oversee routine, preventive and unscheduled maintenance, inspection, adjustments, testing, cleaning, lubrication and proper maintenance on assigned mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment (lighting circuits, electrical circuits and panels and other building and station electrical, mechanical, structural building equipment etc.) in accordance with wiring diagrams, schematics, operations manuals and manufacturers maintenance instructions. 
 - Produce and deliver clear reports (written and verbal) relating to the contract to a variety of audiences at all levels.
 - Certify variation and additional works values and to manage the recording of this function.
 - Experience of multi-site and multi-contract management within a commercial environment.
 - Experience or knowledge of building-related industry practices.
 - Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally at all levels.
 - To possess the ability to produce and deliver financial information for both finance and non- financial colleagues.
 - The ability to manage a diverse workload that entails both regular and ad hoc elements within specified timescales.
 - To possess good administrative skills and the ability to maintain records in various formats as required.
 - Performs cross functional duties as assigned.
 - To be able to work to a flexible time pattern in order to suit the needs of the service.
 - Participates in training programs as required.
 - Carry out 24-hour on-call responsibility for incidents and emergency on the Power Systems;

 - Look for ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimize the generation of waste both within the workplace and within Company accommodation
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work is performed in a standard office environment and in a transit system field environment.
 - Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds; may occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, and physical harm when conducting field surveys and when working in the field.
 - Role requires occasional nightshift / weekend work typical of major infrastructure projects and operating transit systems. The Agency promotes a safe and healthy work environment and provides appropriate safety and equipment training for all personnel as required.

 - Be aware and adhere to the Quality Policy and all related procedures and instructions relating to your department.

 - Ensure that quality is embedded into the delivery of all work in line with established policies, systems, plans, procedures and work instructions by following the training you have been provided with
 
Financial and Commercial
- Be aware and adhere to timekeeping and rostering procedures.
 - Ensure accurate accounts of all working hours are recorded and verified.
 
Knowledge 
- A holder of degree or high diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline
 - Experience of multi-site and multi-contract cleaning management within a commercial environment.
 - Experience or knowledge of cleaning-related industry practices.
 - Proven ability to produce clear written reports.
 - Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally at all levels.
 - To possess the ability to produce and deliver financial information for both finance and non-financial colleagues.
 - The ability to manage a diverse workload that entails both regular and ad hoc elements within specified timescales.
 - To possess good administrative skills and the ability to maintain records in various formats as required.
 - To be able to work to a flexible time pattern in order to suit the needs of the service.
 
Skills 
- Ability to use Microsoft office suite of software.
 - Site construction and installation, testing and commissioning experience and exposure.
 - Proactive nature and can plan and anticipate project conditions, issues and plan accordingly.
 - Have a good command of English, to prepare discipline specific presentations, letters, memo, email and other correspondence. 
 - The ability to coordinate, inspire and lead team on major projects
 
Experience 
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in building maintenance.

Starting pay: $93,000 - $139,500
