Facilities Technician (TEMP)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Temporary Facility Maintenance & 5S Technician to support our operations. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment by performing routine maintenance tasks and implementing 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of warehouse infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Implement and sustain 5S practices across site to improve efficiency and organization.
  • Organize tools, equipment, and materials to ensure optimal workflow and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and warehouse staff to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas.
  • Assist with setup maintenance of offices, workstations, shelving, and storage systems.
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and 5S audits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace organization and safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance is a plus.
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance preferred.
  • Familiarity with 5S methodology and lean principles.
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced warehouse setting.
May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
