THE JOB:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing predictive maintenance and reactive repairs on all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the property, ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with relevant laws and company standards. This position operates on a graveyard shift and involves using diagnostic tools, reading blueprints, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment to uphold overall facility integrity.
THE STARTING RATE: $41.18 hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the property; responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments
Use diagnostic tools, such as but not limited to: Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges and pressure gauges etc. to find and determine source of power and gas issues using voltmeter or gauges
Read and understand blue prints and wiring schematics to install and work on electrical components
Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
Keep informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods and advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
Maintain a constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention; able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
2+ years of prior experience in the hospitality industry or a similar environment required
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holiday required
Technical school or completed apprenticeship in similar trade preferred
