The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Facilities Planner Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located on site in Palmdale, CA.
Essential Functions:
This position will be dedicated to supporting the Site Operations Maintenance Teams at our facility in Palmdale, CA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintenance planning with respect to identifying material, labor and space access required to complete the job plan tasks.
- Forecast work load requirements to communicate needs to site management.
- Partner with tool crib personnel to identify a reserve system for parts required to perform preventative maintenance tasks, as well as spare parts requirements.
- Communicate and securing maintenance windows with various Programs to ensure preventive maintenance, planned electrical outages, and work on infrastructure and equipment can be completed on time and efficiently.
- Define or verify existing work processes by monitoring the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure preventive maintenance tasks, job plans and assets are up to date and kept current as the facility changes and providing analytics on Maintenance Performance as well as generating and coordinating Preventive Maintenance forecast plans and attend weekly work status meetings.
- Improve work request usage and clarity for unplanned and corrective maintenance workloads.
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively by email or verbally.
- The ability to influence and assign workload to tradesmen. Level load and distribute unplanned, corrective, compliance, priority, and low priority PM work orders through Maximo.
- Team player who can navigate communication styles up, down and across the organization.
- Charismatic individual who is results driven and people orientated.
- In addition, the position may be tasked with monitoring performance metrics and daily job sheets to ensure timely updates and reassignments are made to successfully execute the weekly workload.
Basic Qualifications for the Facilities Planner Level 2:
- Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of Facilities, Construction or a Maintenance experience OR a Master's degree with 0 year of experience OR 5 years of stated experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Facilities Engineers, Risk Facilitators, and Tradesmen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-Starter with the ability to foster client relationships.
- Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience overseeing and managing workload tasks and operations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
