Facilities Custodial Supervisor (Multi-Site)

Neogen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Custodial Supervisor to oversee the cleaning operations across multiple sites in the Lansing Michigan area. This role is critical in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. Position Responsibilities:

Leadership and Employee Development

• Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of custodial staff across all assigned locations, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to support employee growth and retention.
• Develop and implement staffing schedules and assign daily tasks to ensure comprehensive coverage and efficiency at all sites.

Quality and Operations Management

• Implement and manage a robust Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) program to consistently monitor and evaluate the cleanliness and maintenance standards across multiple facilities.
• Conduct frequent site inspections and audits, taking corrective action quickly to address deficiencies and maintain high standards.
• Oversee inventory management for custodial supplies and equipment, ensuring resources are available and properly maintained.
• Coordinate with site managers and other facilities staff to address service requests and manage minor repairs as needed.

Safety and Compliance

• Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all custodial activities adhere to company policies, local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Develop and deliver safety training related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and proper cleaning procedures.
• Investigate and report all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing preventative measures to mitigate future risks.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in custodial or janitorial including multi-site management experience.
• Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing a diverse team.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
• Familiarity with Quality Assurance/Quality Control best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and general workplace safety standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Supervisory/Leadership experience
• 5-10 years of custodial experience
• Experience managing budgets and controlling supply costs.
