Job Description Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Facilities Student Engagement Specialist (FSES) to join our team at Clark Atlanta University's Facilities Department.

The FSES will serve as the primary liaison between our facilities management team and the student community, working closely with student groups, organizations, and leaders to ensure their needs and expectations are met with regard to campus facilities.

This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the daily experiences of students while collaborating with a skilled team of facilities professionals.

Job Description

  • Pay: $25.21/hr
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, student organizations, and campus partners to understand their needs and expectations regarding campus facilities
  • Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and implement solutions that support the students' needs and optimize campus facilities for their use
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of facility management services from a student perspective, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions where needed
  • Communicate regularly with students and student organizations, addressing concerns, and ensuring their overall satisfaction with campus facilities and services
  • Organize and participate in events, meetings, and forums to engage with the student community and gather feedback on facility management services
  • Prepare and present reports and proposals to facility management and university leadership, outlining student engagement initiatives and their impact on student satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in campus facilities and services by staying current on industry trends and best practices in student engagement


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, hospitality, or facilities management
  • 1-3 years of experience in a client-facing or student engagement role, ideally in a facilities management or higher education environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse student population
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking to develop and implement effective solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, facility management software, and related technologies

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $21.43 - $25.21
