We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Morton Mains nursery.
Bright Horizons Morton Mains is a beautifully refurbished nursery set in a charming stone-built farmhouse on the outskirts of Edinburgh, surrounded by peaceful woodlands and open fields. The nursery offers a warm, welcoming environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with a strong focus on outdoor learning, nature walks, and enriching educational programmes like Boogie Mites and Ready for School. Staff enjoy being part of a supportive, close-knit team that values professional development and wellbeing. With free on-site parking and easy access from the Edinburgh City Bypass, commuting is convenient whether you're driving or using local bus routes. The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.
What we’re looking for
Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
Strong understanding of the Scottish Curriculum
Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
