As an Executive Manager in the Supplier Management Team, you will lead the transformation and optimisation of our supplier portfolio. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing a forward-looking supplier strategy, driving segmentation, and delivering a high-impact roadmap that enhances supplier performance, governance, and stakeholder engagement. You will champion excellence across supplier relationships while streamlining operations to ensure efficiency and scalability across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Strategy & Segmentation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead supplier segmentation to ensure differentiated management approaches based on strategic value, risk, and performance.
- Identify and unlock opportunities for innovation, value creation, and strategic partnerships.
- Roadmap Execution & Performance Uplift
- Design and deliver a supplier performance roadmap focused on continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and service excellence.
- Establish clear KPIs and performance frameworks to monitor and uplift supplier outcomes.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to embed supplier excellence across the organisation.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Relationship Management
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on supplier strategy, performance, and risk.
- Ensure supplier engagement models are fit-for-purpose and support long-term strategic goals.
- Risk & Governance
- Proactively manage supplier risk, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure robust controls are in place to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
- Lead supplier audits and reviews to maintain high standards of accountability and transparency.
- Operational Efficiency & Team Leadership
- Streamline supplier management processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Champion digital tools and automation to enhance supplier management capabilities.
Experience & Capabilities
- Extensive experience in technology supplier management or supplier lifecycle functions within a complex enterprise environment.
- Deep understanding of the technology supplier landscape, including market trends, key players, and innovation opportunities.
- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams and driving strategic transformation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory environments and compliance requirements relevant to supplier governance.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple business units and manage diverse vendor partnerships.
- Skilled in Agile methodologies, with experience embedding Agile practices into supplier and team operations.
- Continuous learning mindset, with a passion for innovation and leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to drive performance and efficiency.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
