This position will support the Tech Strategy & Enablement and CISO functions. The Executive Assistant will provide broad administrative support to the Leaders of the organizations and assist the teams as needed.  The incumbent will provide a full range of administrative services with a high degree of competency, accuracy, and confidentiality, as well as a variety of special project responsibilities as an integral part of the team. 

The role of supporting the technology organization is fast paced and the successful candidate will be part of an organization driving significant change in our technology and business capability thus we are looking for a motivated learner and professional self-starter. The selected candidate will support the day-to-day needs of the aligned leadership team to drive strategic priorities for the line of business and enterprise and will be aligned to approximately 200+ employees/partners.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT) 3 to 4 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday). 

Leadership support to include:

  • Maintain and schedule calendar appointments with both internal and external constituents
  • Monitor and maintain leaders’ email communications as appropriate and/or requested and synthesize actions needed
  • Monitor broader communications from business and the enterprise to understand, cascade and act as needed
  • Assist in monitoring reports (Workforce, budget, staff allocations, Rewards & Recognition etc.)
  • Communication on behalf of the leaders to all levels of staff
  • Coordinate visitor itineraries and arrangements
  • Act as a proxy for assigned leaders for company systems (Workday, expense reporting, Concur travel, Ariba, R&R, etc.)
  • Create materials for distribution to internal and external customers, including SharePoint site management and administration.
  • Always maintain a high level of confidentiality

Administrative support to include:

  • Serve as a thought leader to enable/accelerate the outcomes for the executive leadership team
  • Maintain organizational charts
  • Serve as a principal Workday or other “Power User”/Subject Matter Expert
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft products (MS Teams, MS Copilot, OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as other business applications as required; utilize Microsoft products and The Hartford’s systems to pull and analyze data
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and complete expense reports for leaders as needed
  • Act as a coordinator for various departmental training, 3rd party vender management, and support new hire onboarding activities as needed (i.e. ordering equipment, reserving space, coordinating with managers)
  • Complete other ad hoc duties or special projects as requested

Qualifications:          

  • 5+ years of experience supporting individuals in executive level management
  • Excellent proficiencies in the use of Office Suite; proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word), MS Copilot or similar AI tools, Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, etc.), Outlook Viva, Workday, Hartford Expense tools to support leader needs, produce ad hoc reports and manage special projects (outline project needs, work with various groups to acquire necessary data, provide analysis and recommendations)
  • A team player with organizational understanding, excellent customer service skills, and verbal and written communication skills across a variety of organizational levels both inside and outside The Hartford
  • Strong problem solver, able to analyze facts and data, conduct a root cause analysis and propose solutions
  • Flexible with respect to working overtime and off-hours
  • A results-oriented and resourceful individual who is capable of quickly taking control of their responsibilities and establishing self as a credible administrative support partner

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$87,840 - $131,760
