Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking an Events and Operations Assistant (NFWS) to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's K-12 Educational Development department.
Purpose within the Organization:
The purpose of this position is to assist the Operations team in the K12 Educational Development department with logistics and administrative needs related to events and programs.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
- Represent GCU and K12ED professionally and positively.
- Organize and assemble materials and supplies for events and/or programs.
- Assist in planning and preparation of logistics pertaining to events and/or programs.
- Create, edit, and prepare PowerPoint presentations, meeting or event agendas, charts and spreadsheets in excel related to department programming needs.
- Assist with any other administrative needs that arise as assigned.
- Attend on-campus events as needed and represent K12ED to partners
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- GCU student in their junior year preferred, majoring in Hospitality Management or related program and/or experience in event planning
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work, learn, and be flexible.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Team player; collaboration is critical.

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
