As an Event Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating projects and events within a growing portfolio of event venues. You will form relationships with vendors, clients, and partners to manage successful events from start to finish while providing a world-class experience.

About the role

  • Market, sell, and coordinate projects and events in event venues
  • Execute day-to-day operations of an event by overseeing all setup, breakdown and other activities to ensure a smooth event flow
  • Coordinate and assist clients from initial inquiry through event execution, including showcasing venues, creating venue proposals, building event floor plans, detailing event resumes and soliciting client feedback
  • Reconcile all event costs through the generation of invoices, payment schedules and contracts
  • Offer vendor recommendations to clients and ensure vendors adhere to venue guidelines
  • Collect certificates of insurance from all clients and vendors
  • Sell beverage packages and maintain a comprehensive understanding of beverage policies
  • Coordinate with audio-visual, security, parking, facilities and other teams to ensure that all preparations are made for an event
  • Coordinate the onboarding, selling and marketing of new event venues
  • Manage marketing materials, including social media accounts and website content
  • Keep up with industry trends and attend educational networking sessions
  • Complete annual compliance trainings to maintain adherence to safety guidelines

About you

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in event sales or event/hospitality management
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Flexibility to work unusual and often long hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
