Event Marketing Intern (Southwest)

Remote Part Time

Overview:

GuidePoint Security is looking to hire an Event Marketing Intern to support the southwest region. This hybrid position will support the marketing team by planning and executing regional events throughout the Southwest, to highlight the company and services to prospective customers. In addition to attending events, you will learn and work with our major marketing platforms like Monday.com, SalesForce, Marketo (Adobe) and Canva. The candidate must be willing to learn while supporting a dynamic, fast-paced, organization with the goal of working hard but also having fun! 

The ideal candidate will have the skills to creatively write copy for campaign invites, collaborate with venue managers to deliver quality event experiences, and work collectively with our BDR team to target qualified prospects within our regional campaigns. This person should share the goals and concerns of the client and understand the technology partner and products available to meet their goals and solve their challenges. This is a great opportunity to grow into a full-time marketing position.

Location Requirements: Orange County, Los Angeles or Salt Lake City, Utah (25% travel)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Southwest regions event calendar, internal marketing documents, event registration lists and provide regular updates to the broader regional team. 
  • Build campaigns for events; write email invites, organize registration page layouts and content and determine post-event email campaigns
  • Manage Vendor commitment letters and, MDF submissions pre-event
  • Design social media graphics in collaboration with our corporate social marketing team for region events, writing copy, tagging necessary terms, etc. 
  • Gather and post photos from events to highlight successful events within the southwest
  • Work with the product marketing team to coordinate post-event messaging relevant to services discussed within the marketing campaign.
  • Manage and liaise with the BDR team post-event, ensuring follow-up is done within a timely manner. 
  • Learn OEM technologies and understand and articulate their value proposition to clients
  • Represent GuidePoint Security in a professional manager at in-person events to our prospective clients
  • Assist with marketing database, including maintaining clean lists, standardizing segment groups, and optimizing the internal data structure for GPS
  • Create and maintain marketing operations documentation and processes, sharing best-practices with the broader team.
  • Support management of contacts database to ensure good data hygiene and privacy data compliance

Location/Travel Requirements:

  • Must reside in Orange County, Los Angeles or Salt Lake City to qualify, no exceptions
  • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to work after normal business hours on occasion while traveling

Qualifications: 

  • Must have an interest in event and campaign marketing
  • Must be able to pitch an organization’s capabilities
  • Must have prior working experience, preferably in a cybersecurity industry or fast-paced work environment
  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Confident, curious and fun by nature

Expectations

  • 12 week internship, Jan 12 - Apr 3, 2026
  • Part-time up to 29hrs a week, Paid $20hr 
  • Typical schedule is M-F, core hours 11am-4pm eastern (subject to vary) 
  • Optionally attend an in-person onboarding in Tampa, FL from Jan 12 - Jan 15, 2026 (all expenses paid)
