Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Estimator (Associate or Experienced) to join our team for a proprietary Air Dominance program in Hazelwood, Missouri

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 2 and Level 3 Specialists to find the best fit for the position.

 Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program

  • Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices

  • Evaluates requests for proposals, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals

  • Develops estimating and pricing methods

  • Evaluates and develops business cases

  • Performs analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)

  • Develops and maintains pricing models

  • Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating pricing and proposals

  • Potential for development/application/maintenance of estimating relationships or factors in support of estimates

  • Performs compliance activities including providing compliant cost volumes

  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

  • Experience with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements / U.S. Government contracts

  • Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis

  • Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis

  • Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness

  • Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range (Associate, Level 2): $78,300 - $95,700

Summary Pay Range (Experienced, Level 3): $96,300 - $117,700
