About The Role

This role will own and execute the company’s carbon accounting and ESG disclosure processes. Ensuring compliance with emerging global regulations (e.g. CSRD, UK SRS, NFRD) while improving the integrity and automation of Perk’s internal carbon data.

You will lead the measurement, verification, and reporting of our corporate carbon footprint, while supporting the education of internal teams on reporting obligations and carbon literacy. The successful delivery of the verifiable baseline will be the foundation for the company's Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitment submission in Year 2.

Working closely with the Staff Sustainability Program Manager and collaborating with Finance, Legal, Workplace, and Product, you will operate at the intersection of data, regulation, and sustainability strategy, ensuring our carbon data is auditable, compliant, and actionable.

 
What You’ll Do

What You’ll Do

1. Carbon Accounting & Data Management

  • Lead end-to-end corporate carbon accounting (Scopes 1–3), ensuring data accuracy, traceability, and alignment with the GHG Protocol.
  • Manage data collection across Finance, Workplace, and Procurement systems, implementing QA processes and internal controls for external verification.
  • Develop and improve primary data methodologies for key Scope 3 categories to enhance completeness and precision.

2. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

  • Track and interpret emerging ESG and carbon disclosure regulations (CSRD, UK SRS, CSDDD), partnering with Legal to assess impact and readiness.
  • Own the ESG disclosure calendar and coordinate timely, accurate submissions.
  • Prepare and validate data for internal and external assurance processes.

3. Strategy & Integration

  • Support Perk’s sustainability strategy through data-driven insights on material ESG issues, targets, and performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Sustainability teams to ensure ESG data is audit- and investor-ready.
  • Contribute to setting and tracking Science-Based Targets (SBTi) and long-term net-zero pathways.

4. Systems, Tools, and Automation

  • Evaluate and optimise carbon accounting and ESG reporting software solutions.
  • Develop internal workflows and tools to streamline and automate data collection.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build ESG and carbon literacy across internal teams.
  • Provide verified carbon and ESG data to support external communications.
  • Represent Perk in relevant industry or regulatory discussions.
 
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in sustainability, ESG, or carbon accounting, ideally within tech, SaaS, or travel sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the GHG Protocol and related ESG regulatory frameworks (CSRD, SRS, SECR, etc.).
  • Strong data skills, proficiency in spreadsheets, and ideally SQL, Python, or BI tools.
  • Experience with carbon accounting and ESG reporting platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex regulations into practical internal processes.
  • Expertise in supplier engagement and conducting spend- vs. activity-based analyses for complex Scope 3 value chains.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication, especially with Finance, Legal, and Workplace teams.
  • (Bonus) Experience supporting product sustainability features or B2B ESG reporting.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about climate data integrity and compliance.
  • Comfortable working at the intersection of regulation, data, and strategy, whether reviewing a policy brief or building a dashboard.
  • Motivated to make sustainability measurable, scalable, and verifiable.

How We Work
At Perk, we take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such, this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our hubs.
