Are you passionate about driving environmental stewardship and ensuring compliance with evolving air quality regulations? Enbridge is seeking a dedicated professional to develop and lead a comprehensive, nationwide emissions testing compliance program for our Gas Distribution Business Unit. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory alignment across all U.S. operations — from developing policies, procedures, and training materials to guiding business units through complex state and federal emissions testing requirements.

As a trusted subject matter authority, you will provide technical direction, supervise consultants and contractors, and ensure the consistent implementation of environmental standards across the organization. You’ll collaborate with Environmental Services and operational teams to review testing protocols, prepare compliance reports, and track performance through advanced data systems. Additionally, you will contribute to the analysis of new regulations, help shape Enbridge’s response strategies and support environmental audits and inspections.

What you will do:

  • Develop a comprehensive program for emissions testing compliance across the U.S. Enbridge Gas Distribution Business Unit.
    • Develop program documentation and training materials for all partners
  • Provide guidance on state/federal regulatory requirements related to emissions testing, monitoring, requirements to ensure compliance with air quality regulations at company facilities.
  • Responsible for working with business units on review and submittal of emissions test protocols, and reports.
  • Communicate within Environmental Services and business groups to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of state/ federal environmental requirements related to emissions testing.
  • Develop and provide environmental training to Enbridge staff on state/federal requirements for emissions testing.
  • Oversight and technical direction of contractors and consultants, including preparation of scopes of work, purchase requisitions and invoice approval for contractors and consultants.
  • Adherence to Enbridge environmental policy, guidance and work practices.
  • Support to business units on environmental inspections and environmental audits as necessary.
  • Complete analysis of and comment on proposed and new state/federal environmental regulations for impact on Enbridge related to emissions testing 
  • Use and develop electronic databases to track and analyze company compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience, preferably in pipeline/production, industry, and infrastructure sectors where you’ve used your experience in problem solving and process/procedure improvement along with an environment related bachelor’s degree
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methods and techniques along with air permitting and compliance procedures and processes across multiple states for combustion equipment
  • The ability to actively engage and collaborate with diverse collaborator groups across the organization to develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive stack testing program

You can:

  • Offer a high level of understanding of state/federal, emissions testing/monitoring, and all associated recordkeeping and reporting requirements to support compliance
  • Document processes and data flows amongst handling multiple tasks while being able to use Microsoft office suite products and apply strategic solutions to issues

  • An excellent written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills who can communicate with a wide variety of people, including employees, management and regulatory agencies
  • A self-starter who demonstrates a willingness to implement new insights within acceptable boundaries and is familiar with the best management practices for environmental protection
  • Dedicated to Enbridge’s values while exhibiting a high level of personal and professional integrity working independently within multidisciplinary teams with minimal supervision

The following are considered assets:

  • Experience with Enbridge business units, familiarity with Enbridge’s business and cultures
  • Knowledge of activities and processes associated with the production, pipeline transmission, and distribution of natural gas

Salary Range

                $112,000- $180,000 USD

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
