Position Overview:
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and reliability of the Out of Production (OoP) fleet. The OoP ECS Design Engineering (DE) team is dedicated to providing exceptional compliance and technical support, driving initiatives such as Boeing design, certification, the Continued Operation Safety Program (COSP) and addressing Service Related Problems (SRP). Position Responsibilities
Requirements Traceability & Development Assurance
Supports development and documentation of Environmental Control System analysis and architecture (air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, etc.)
System Safety Analysis Documentation, including the creation of Fault Hazard
Assessments (FHAs), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEAs), Fault Tree Analysis
Assesses complex system events to determine potential safety issues, utilizing airplane function integration at the system and component level
Contributes to development of hardware, software, and system performance requirements, as well as supplier qualification of these components and systems
Works directly with airline customers and airplane component suppliers to ensure effective system integration and customer satisfaction
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team
1+ years of experience working in a multi-disciplined Systems Engineering environment
Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
1+ years of experience being a team leader
1+ years of experience with engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including compressible/incompressible fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, systems engineering, and/or computational fluid dynamics
Direct experience with aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis (air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, thermal analysis, computational fluid dynamics, etc.)
Knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles
Ability to work with multiple team functions
Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
Desire to continuously improve our airplanes

Summary Pay Range:
Experienced (Level 3): $105,400 - $142,600
Senior (Level 4): $129,200 - $174,800
Principal (Level 5): $159,800 - $216,200
