The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Enterprise Services Finance team:

RTX Corporate has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Enterprise Services (ES) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This position plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic financial insights, strengthening cost management discipline, and driving improvements in enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. 

This role requires advanced knowledge of financial systems, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence operational partners through clear, data-driven analysis. The ideal candidate will work independently, share knowledge with team members and be a key member in efforts to supporting cost center management, modernizing reporting and forecasting capabilities. 

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the financial analyst for the ES portfolio, managing overhead cost center expenses across service lines (FTEs, software, hardware, contractor labor, etc.). 
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast and planning activities, ensuring compliance with government regulations (CAS/FAR) and alignment with AOP and Long-Range Plan (LRP) targets. 
  • Develop and maintain financial models, variance analyses, and performance dashboards to inform business decisions and resource allocations. 
  • Partner directly with ES functional leadership to understand financial drivers, evaluate trade-offs, and present insights that guide strategic execution. 
  • Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements (e.g., Power BI), increasing forecast accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency. 
  • Analyze infrastructure cost allocations and support transformation initiatives that optimize cost structures across digital programs. 
  • Assist in the preparation of executive-level financial briefings summarizing key performance drivers, risks, and recommendations. 
  • Manage and support internal/external audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and disclosure requirements. 
  • Prepare, manage, and reconcile pre-paid and accrual journal entries related to overhead expenses, ensuring accuracy and timely closeout in accordance with GAAP and internal policy.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 
  • Over 3 years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A, overhead budgeting, and project support, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and interpret complex data to provide effective insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to cross-functional and executive stakeholders, and knowledge of government compliance requirements (CAS/FAR).

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with project or task financial management and support including analyzing budgets, monitoring actual cost data, developing forecasts, and providing variance analysis 
  • Strong communication, comfortable speaking in groups while confidently and professionally sharing opinions with every level of management. 
  • Advanced Excel, data modeling, and financial systems experience  such as SAP, PRISM, APEX, Power BI 
  • A drive for leading process change, willing and able to partner with cross business teams to improve forecast accuracy 
  • Experience supporting Digital Technology, Applications, or Infrastructure portfolios and prior exposure to financial transformation initiatives and reporting modernization

REMOTE: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
