The Role:
- This exciting and challenging role involves delivering Electronic Warfare training as part of the Mobile Threat Training Emitter System (MTTES) program.
- As the Engineering Team Lead, the focus is on RF emitters, helping to ensure availability of RF systems in a range of scenarios from Unit Level Training (ULT) to Force Level Integration (FLI).
- In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team, managing workloads, collaborating with other teams and leads, and engaging with customers and stakeholders to ensure effective solutions are delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Threat Systems engineering team, assigning tasks appropriately while monitoring performance and supporting professional development as a manager.
- Leadership of technical reviews within the Program as well as supporting planning, estimating, resourcing and scheduling of engineering tasks.
- Develop and support engineering design changes according to company and program policy and procedures.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders and teams, such as Software, Networks/ICT, Maintenance, Operations, Mission Planners/Directors, and end users.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
- University degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience. · Minimum 6 years engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and establishing goals with direct impact on operational results.
- Excellence in time management task prioritisation, and an ability to maintain stability of performance under pressure.
- Understanding of, and an ability to apply, systems engineering practices where needed.
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva.
- An ability to travel to locations throughout Australia in support of Australian Defence Force training.
Desirables
- Knowledge of radar systems and RF principles.
- Experience with Microsoft and Atlassian suite of tools (Teams, JIRA, Confluence, etc).
