Job Description Summary:

  • KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop Business Plans & action plans with stretched KBIs and ensure meeting objectives holding self and team accountable.
    • Ensure consistent compliance, process discipline & enhancement of company requirements Quality, Occupational Health, Safety, GMP, Food Safety, Hygiene, International Standards (ISOs), Security, Environmental aspects as well as Workplace Rights. Passing audits with no critical/repeat/major findings.
    • Maximize & Improve the Plant’s capability, capacity & resources utilization, overseeing & resolving constrains and performance management across all engineering areas.
    • Key member of the Leadership Team in developing and delivering the company’s strategic goals & commitments.
    • Active member in cross functional committees such as Food Safety, Packaging, Safety, Quality etc. enabling the delivery of Plant wide objectives, corrective & improvement plans. As well as active member in global DWTs.
    • Manage engineering KBIs, including Capex & Opex to ensure continuous sustainable improvement.
    • Identify and prioritize projects providing solutions to deal with current/future requirements and business needs; justification, feasibility, payback, from projects scoping, design to execution and benefits realization.
    • Site Master Planning establishment of five+ years strategic plans, to support site development & long-range growth.
    • Provide direction & solutions to deal with future anticipated demand & new product segments.
    • Lead the various Plant Maintenance (corrective, preventive & predictive) PM program, calibration, spare parts availability, SAP, execution activities covering Plant-wide facility, utilities, equipment, automation, bulk storage, warehouses, laboratory and administrative building & resources to ultimately ensure optimal availability and reliability delivering Olympic performance.
    • Fulfilling all company procedures and requirements for Quality, safety & loss prevention and GMP.
    • Improve Business Partners Partnership with Contractors, Suppliers & Consultants.
    • Planning and executing annual Plant shutdowns covering maintenance, overhauling & upgrades.
    • Drive continuous improvement culture, change management & transformation in all relevant aspects.
    • Drive Value Creation (costs saving / avoidance) and Value Optimization initiatives.
    • Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the team’s development and competency.
    • Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts negotiation.
    • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work.
    • Effective daily management of the engineering team to ensure provision of required level of services in a pro-active and professional manner to enable other departments to fulfil their role.
    • Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage staff to ensure staff are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company’s needs.
    • Ensure adequate department documentation, records, DSF, as built drawings etc..
    • Establish and enforce standards in the department and maintain the good company image.
    • Establish good working relationships with site staff and department heads to ensure overall objectives are delivered.
    • Identify associated risks generated from Risk Management & implement mitigation/treatment plans. This includes risk prevention (risks identification, analysis & setting appropriate mitigation/treatment plans) & risk resolution in alignment with CPS strategic approach.
    • Monitor safety, security and environment impact to ensure maintenance activities are critically prioritized and appropriately dealt with.
    • Ensure best utilization of SAP modules and team capability development accordingly.
    • Standardize all internal activities, enforce adherence and discipline mindset.
    • Supports capacity studies & data analysis by Equipment/Resource/Area.
    • Continuously assess, develop and source current and new resources to meet the business growth, complexity, and requirements to ensure adequate organization capability are in place, and working environment are within the company objectives.
    • Develop flexible organizational structure, multi-skill capabilities, backups, transferring scare skills, motivate and encourage job rotations.
    • Recruiting, training, developing & succession planning. Monitoring, coaching, and encouraging teamwork to consistently deliver targeted results.
    • Adequately utilize available Company tools (PE, Employee Insights Surveys etc.) to identify improvement, agree & drive relevant action plans.
    • Drive empowerment program allowing timely & quality decisions in place.
    • Enhance Productivity; build people capabilities & career ladder development to the next level. Create culture of accountability, ownership & continuous improvement.
    • Provide direction & solutions to deal with future anticipated demand & New Product Segments.
    • Drive Operational Excellence in all aspects to improve productivity, absorb volume increase, enhance resources utilization, increase customer satisfaction, flexibility, reduce complexity, lower operational costs targeting world class operations.
    • Recognize barriers to efforts and work for elimination, identifying problems and providing feedback, coaching & close follow up to ensure quality resolution.
    • Define, source, plan, train and effectively implement adequate systems that will effectively improve operational business indicators. (ISO 14001, 18001, FSSC, SAP, TCCQS, ISO 9001, KORE etc.).
    • Support Internal Audits to ensure compliance to company requirements while adding value to the management system programs & procedures.

    RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Engineering Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Degree is a plus.
    • 10+ years broad Engineering experience - preferably FMCG; also preferably with cross functional expertise
    • 5 years in Management position
    • Deep Technical Knowledge related to Maintenance, Equipment, Utilities/Facilities, Automation and Projects.
    • Excellent People Leadership skills
    • Ability to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration
    • Demonstrated Business wide understanding
    • HR/motivational techniques
    • English & Arabic Proficiency
    • Strong computer Literacy
