Engineering Project Manager (FTC)

Job Description

Organon is hiring an Engineering Project Manager to lead a variety of capital facility development and equipment installation projects. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives aligned with our Site Master Plan, while maintaining compliance with GMP and engineering standards. 

You’ll be responsible for managing projects from concept through to commissioning, working closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal disruption to operations. 

This role is offered on a fixed-term basis for 24 months.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Lead capital facility and equipment projects through all phases of the Organon Project Road Map, from business case development to commissioning and validation. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, secure funding at each FEL stage, and ensure alignment with the Site Master Plan. 

  • Review and approve technical designs and specifications, ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and engineering standards. 

  • Manage change control processes and maintain strong stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. 

  • Partner with engineering teams and external vendors to deliver accurate designs, cost estimates, and execution plans. 

  • Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning activities, minimizing operational disruption. 

  • Monitor and control project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. 

  • Demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and effective teamwork in a fast-paced, regulated environment. 

Required Education, Experience & Skills: 

  • Degree-level qualification in Engineering or equivalent professional experience. 

  • Proven track record in delivering projects within regulated industries (Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, etc.). 

  • Strong leadership and vendor management capabilities. 

  • Experience in GMP compliance and validation processes. 

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and contractor supervision skills. 

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable but not essential. 

  • Previous client-side pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
