The Engineer, Measurement Technical Services is responsible for providing technical expertise and operational support for Enbridge’s ultrasonic flow meter infrastructure and applications. This role ensures the integration and optimal performance of measurement systems across various entities, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term technology initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a subject matter expert for leak detection ultrasonic flow meter infrastructure and applications, providing critical guidance on business and operational processes

  • Support operation and troubleshooting of flow meter infrastructure and applications across Enbridge systems

  • Collaborate with site operations, CCO, SCADA, and other groups to resolve technical issues and advance technology solutions

  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation, offering engineering-level assistance to the MTS group

  • Review and align engineering design standards and specifications with departmental objectives and system requirements

  • Lead or coordinate testing of new flow meter infrastructure, including factory and site acceptance testing with peripheral systems like SCADA and PLCs

Who You Are

  • A licensed Electrical or Computer Engineer (P.Eng.) with at least 4 years of meaningful experience and membership in APEGA

  • Proficient in Windows OS, MS Excel, and MS Word

  • Available for 24/7 on-call (on rotation) operational support and able to travel cross-border (valid driver’s license and passport required)

  • Skilled in quick assessment and decision-making to resolve flow computer issues

  • Effective communicator, ability to work collaboratively with technical teams

  • Knowledgeable in ultrasonic flow measurement technologies; exposure to liquid pipeline terminal operations and measurement technologies is an asset
