Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows to maximize productivity and reduce waste.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts related to production issues.
  • Collaborate with product design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and production staff.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and prepare reports to track performance metrics.
  • Manage projects related to process improvements, cost reduction, and capacity expansion.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes.
  • Understanding of materials & tolerances of components and assemblies.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Ability to solve problems and implement solutions through structured, data-driven methodology.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Above average to excellent Computer skills.
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting 2D blueprints with understanding of dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Able to perform quality work and exercise independent discretion with minimum supervision.
  • Able to complete projects and tasks while working individually or part of a cross functional team.
  • 1-2 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Experience in Team Center or other PLM software applications is an advantage.
  • Understanding of problem-solving tools (RRCA, DMAIC, 8D) and GD&T is an advantage
  • Experience with Plastics Thermoforming equipment, processes, and materials is an advantage.
  • Experience with Mechanical Assembly and Bonding tools, equipment, process, and materials is an advantage.
