Job Description:

Partners with senior leaders and determines business unit, sales, or function business drivers and priorities to identify the capabilities needed by employees to achieve business growth, revenue, and profit objectives. Creates plans aligned with business strategy and priorities within established budgets and other constraints to develop employee capability to meet the business objectives more successfully, especially to address gaps in capability and/or performance. Provides business management expertise to measure business impact, return on investment, and other relevant metrics, ensuring business process execution from beginning to end.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Builds relationships with senior business segment managers as a valued partner to identify priorities and takes ownership for the whole learning experience.
  • Partners with client groups (e.g., business groups, defined company client groups, or functional groups) to identify development solutions within the defined L&D strategy.
  • Creates strategic development plans aligned with business priorities for senior business segment managers.
  • Manages the business group, defined company client group, or functional group development budget and required financial metrics.
  • Partners with HR and the business to define and build transformation and change capabilities specific to the client groups.
  • Drives creation and delivery of learning solutions that support the client group priorities.
  • Communicates business impact metrics and return on investment.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree; advanced university degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 7+ years in a training or enablement role.
  • Typically 4+ years demonstrated presentation, facilitation, and consulting experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Superior planning, communication, change management, and cultural awareness skills, including financial and global business acumen.
  • Expert ability to quickly understand and adopt new, complex technology and concepts.
  • Expert ability to gauge variances in learning styles within an audience.
  • Superior familiarity with learning content and training solutions.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $81,500.00 - $187,500.00
