Role Overview:
The EMI Lead will be responsible for driving growth and adoption of EMI (Equated Monthly Installment) on POS products across Paytm’s mid market channel. This role focuses on expanding EMI GMV (Gross Merchandise Value), increasing EMI revenue, and ensuring wider merchant enablement for Brand EMI, Bank EMI, and My EMI programs. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of payment products, merchant growth, and go-to-market strategy with a strong data-driven and execution mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Growth & Performance
- Drive EMI GMV and EMI revenue across online and offline merchant segments.
- Develop strategies to increase EMI penetration and acceptance rate among merchants and consumers.
- Own key growth metrics — merchant enablement, transaction volume, and revenue contribution from EMI products.

2. Merchant Enablement & Expansion
- Identify and onboard merchants for Brand EMI and Bank EMI programs in collaboration with partner banks and OEMs.
- Promote merchant participation in My EMI to drive self-service EMI creation and acceptance.
- Build targeted enablement campaigns to increase awareness and adoption among key merchant clusters.

3. Go-To-Market (GTM) & Partnerships
- Define and execute GTM strategies for EMI offerings — including pricing, bundling, communication, and channel partner activation.
- Partner with marketing, business development, and product teams to plan launches and growth campaigns.
- Drive acceptance of EMI payment links, especially for digital-first and SME merchants.

4. Product Strategy & Feedback
- Provide detailed product requirements and enhancements based on merchant and consumer insights.
- Collaborate with the product and tech teams to improve EMI onboarding flows, repayment visibility, and EMI conversion journeys.
- Benchmark and analyze competitive EMI offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and value creation.

5. Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor EMI KPIs including GMV growth, revenue per merchant, EMI mix, and activation rates.
- Use data to identify trends, merchant behavior, and high-impact interventions to scale adoption.
- Present performance updates, forecasts, and insights to senior leadership regularly.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. EMI GMV Growth - Achieve quarterly and annual GMV targets from EMI transactions.
2. EMI Revenue Growth - Drive incremental revenue through higher EMI adoption and cross-sell initiatives.
3. Merchant Enablement - Increase the number of merchants activated on Brand EMI, Bank EMI, and My EMI.
4. EMI Link Acceptance - Grow EMI link-based payment adoption across the merchant base.
5. GTM Effectiveness - Success of go-to-market campaigns in driving merchant and consumer adoption.
6. Product Impact - Delivery of actionable product improvements and new feature rollouts.

Qualifications & Skills
- 6–10 years of experience in payments, lending, or merchant acquisition, preferably in fintech or digital commerce.
- Strong understanding of EMI products, consumer finance, and merchant ecosystems.
- Proven ability to scale financial products and execute cross-functional GTM strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or analytics tools is a plus.
