Before applying: please note that to be eligible for this position, you must be currently enrolled at a university in Spain and remain enrolled until the end of the internship. You must also be available to start the internship in February 2026 and continue participating in the program until June–July 2026.

HP’s Barcelona campus hosts the 3D Printing global headquarters, one of the world’s largest and most advanced research and development facilities for the next-generation technologies powering the Fourth Industrial Revolution. 

We are offering an internship in 3D Printing Research and Development department, within the Electronics Engineering team. You will work closely with R&D engineers in a multidisciplinary team, and you will be assigned a tutor who will provide guidance and help.

We are looking for a 3rd / 4th year student, someone with a solid technical background and enthusiast of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, simulate and prototype new concepts/design ideas.
  • Design functional electronic circuits.  
  • Investigate simulation techniques used in the development of embedded systems: HIL (hardware in the loop) and SIL (software in the loop) using MATLAB/Simulink tools (training material on the HIL tool is available).
  • Analyze/measure the performance of electronic circuits and compare the results with those obtained by simulation.
  • Develop portions of microcontroller code to implement the control functionality of electronic circuits.
  • Design and develop auxiliary circuits needed to characterize/validate the electronics circuits.


Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering
  • Solid background in electronics discipline.
  • Familiar with electronic and system simulation tools (Matlab, Simulink, Spice, etc.).
  • Microcontroller programming skills (C, C++).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Person with initiative, capable of working autonomously.
  • Fluent in English.
