Job Description

This position is responsible for electrical troubleshooting and repair of all plant equipment and utilities.  This position requires demonstration of strong electrical skills.  The position is a key member of the plant maintenance team and will help with the advancement of the plant through participating in various improvement teams in the facility. The employee awarded this position should be flexible and able to work extended hours and/or weekend work as necessary to cover business needs as well as some adjustment to shift/hours.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work in a safe manner and within all compliance requirements to avoid personal injury. 

  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair of all plant equipment and 480v/3 phase power distribution systems.

  • Go online with PLC Controllers and VFDs for trouble shooting and setup of replacement parts.

  • Installation and maintenance of electrical equipment such as conduit, junction boxes, control panels, wiring, etc., in conformance to the National Electrical Code.

  • Understand and troubleshoot complex Ethernet communication systems, programmable controllers and the I/O connected via Control Logix Software.

  • Complete assigned work orders, and project work promptly while maintaining a neat and orderly workplace.

  • Able to mechanically troubleshoot pneumatic, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems.

  • Able to create and read electrical/electronic schematics and drawings, fabricate control panels and start-up new and rebuilt equipment.

  • Support Plant Quality Systems and observe all plant GMP’s to ensure quality food products are produced.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management or required by business needs.

  • Perform all observations and training timely as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.

  • Must have a journeyman license or 2 years’ experience in Industrial Electricity and Control System or Associate of Applied Science Degree with Electrical/Automation areas.

  • Must be able to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot complex equipment.

  • Ability to run conduit up to 2”.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • PLC knowledge (especially Allen Bradley), Relay Logic, VFD and Servo Drives, Process Instrumentation.

  • English Language Skills – Able to speak, read, and write.

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (all shifts, extended hours, including weekends and holidays when required).

  • Understand NEC as it relates to industrial installations.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

  • Must be self-motivated and productive with minimal supervision.

  • Must adhere to all Kraft policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and follow all internal Kraft procedures.

Shift:

C Team; 8 pm – 8 am

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday

Hourly rate:

$37.60
