Job Description

A leading Aerospace and Defense cable and harness manufacturer located in Chandler, Arizona is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician. The perfect Candidate for this position will be reliable, have a good work ethic, be a team player, and take great pride in building assemblies that help keep America safe.

Summary: The Quality Test Technician supports quality engineering and inspection functions by conducting test and maintaining test records. Assists in the calibration of tools and equipment, and helps to implement corrective actions as necessary.

Weekly Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri 6:00a-2:30p (overtime as required)

 Pay: $23 to $27 per hour

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend requirements from customer specifications, drawings, MIL specs and schematics.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform various electrical tests on cable assemblies and harnesses. Testing can include Continuity (open/shorts), VSWR, Insertion Loss, Dielectric Withstanding Voltage, Insulation Resistance, TDR readings.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with test equipment such as Cable Eye, PNA/Vector Network Analyzer, Volt meter, Data Bus Tester, Megohmmeter.
  • 2+ years Quality related experience in a Test environment.
  • Must have strong communication skills; will be interfacing with production, sales, purchasing and engineering personnel.
  • Ability to use MS Office products (IE: Outlook, Word, Excel Required, Access) and other custom computer software.
  • Must have a good work ethic towards attention to detail, time management and organizational skills. 

Emphasis on performing Quality Assurance activities related to the following job functions:

  • Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards (internal training available).
  • Ensure that all specifications are followed and work is performed in conformance with the standards of the customer and/or the company in the assembly of all products.
  • Report and document any discrepancies regarding policies and procedures to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
  • General product inspection is required in addition to test.
  • Process and evaluate customer return material in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that Rework Forms are filled out when any product does not meet the requirements.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
