Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Cabin Systems organization is seeking a highly talented and motivated Electrical Technical Designer (Senior or Principal) to join our team in Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Cabin Systems Platform Engineering team and Pre-flight & Delivery Operations for 777 aircraft on the Everett flight line, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

  • Leads troubleshooting and testing efforts for complex, highly integrated 777X Cabin Systems, including In-Flight Entertainment (IFE), Cameras Systems, seats and Passenger Connectivity systems hardware, software, wiring and equipment.

  • Participate in IFE and Passenger Connectivity software testing at IFE vendor facilities to acquire in-depth knowledge of hardware and software components, enhancing troubleshooting capabilities on Cabin Systems.

  • Represents Cabin Systems Engineering during Pre-flight and Delivery Operations meetings on the 777 program at the Everett flight line, providing technical expertise and status updates as required.

  • Provides regular status reports to the Cabin Systems Senior Manager on IFE and Connectivity system functional tests, engineering ground testing, and aircraft readiness for certification testing, pre-flight, and delivery.

  • Trains and mentors IFE engineers in production support processes and collaborate with IFE engineering teams to develop and author functional test procedures.

  • Responsible for overseeing the IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) and Passenger Connectivity software load process both in the factory and on the flight line.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA location.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related work experience in a technical field.

  • 3+ years of experience within the aviation or the airline industry or services.

  • Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, or related discipline; or equivalent military experience.

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in aircraft systems, installations, troubleshooting, testing or flight line support; experience with 777 Cabin Systems platform strongly preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of cabin systems (passenger services, lighting, in‑flight entertainment, seating/galley interfaces, wiring/ARINC/ATA chapters).

  • Proven experience acting as liaison between engineering and operations in a production or delivery environment.

  • Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and certification documentation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present technical information clearly to multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast‑paced, deadline driven environments.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and to be present on the flight line as required.

Summary Pay Range:

  • Senior (Level 4): $85,850 - $116,150

  • Principal (Level 5): $103,700 - $140,300
