The role

You will work as part of our Energy CoE (Center of Excellence). You will contribute to the research and design of innovative digital solutions for various types of power grids (Japan, Thailand, America).
You will also be involved in support Project Manager to drive consulting and project delivery services to customers, working closely with IT technical team to address power system perspective such as:

1. Meter Data Management System, Advanced Meter Infrastructure, Smart Meters
2. Electrical Energy Market (Ancillary Market, Whole sales Market)
3. Integrated utilities application SCADA/ EMS/ ADMS, Power System Calculation and Analysis (PSS/E and similar), IEC 61970 (CIM),
4. Utility Customer Information System
5. Power Grid Data Management/ Asset Management

Technical support for sales process, including pre-sales customer presentations and workshops, pilot projects, and engagement on customer challenges.
Writing technical reports, papers and presentations to analyse the requirements and propose a technical solution for utilities clients
Willing to learn software development process and project management, new technologies such as GenAI

What you’ll bring

Fresh graduates/senior students in (or Working towards Master Engineering) in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical Power System or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Must be fluent in English and/or Japanese (huge advantage) and be able to communicate effectively over teleconference and in face-to-face meetings.
Must be a fast learner, with a willingness to develop knowledge in new areas and with an ability to conduct robust research.
Utility, research or industry experience would be beneficial - in particular, experience or eager to learn in operations, planning and/or power system analysis with Hitachi Solution in Energy sector
