Your Team, Your Impact

The Cloud Platform Optics team builds highly integrated component platforms with high-speed Silicon photonics, transmit and receive amplifiers, controller ASICs with Marvell DSPs. These components are made operational with a highly functional embedded firmware. The team is responsible for design, verification, and validation of these integrated high speed optical components. The team performs system level testing under various operating conditions, and validates the performance of the hardware, firmware and control loops. An engineer in this team will be involved in a full product lifecycle and will carry new products from inception all the way to NPI.

What You Can Expect

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical hardware for optical modules and other AI platforms
  • Perform hands-on testing and debugging of hardware components using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and signal analyzer
  • Participate in hardware validation and verification, including debugging and troubleshooting
  • Help develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and talented Electrical Hardware Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of electrical hardware design and development, with a keen interest in developing platform solutions for the AI market. This role offers an excellent learning opportunity in a fast-paced environment.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields with an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Prior coursework in electronic, circuit design, and programming
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Allegro, OrCAD)
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment, with a good understanding of electrical measurement and testing methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

27 - 53, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
