What you will do:

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in New Freedom, PA. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below. 

How you will do it:  

  • Provide support to the lead electrical engineers in tasks such as part qualification, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design, test box design and test, engineering analysis and test, support of proof-of-concept or final system testing.
  • Perform routine tasks under close supervision using well-defined standards and procedures.
  • Support the development and documentation of standard procedures, design standardization, and engineering change notices.
  • Use predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to perform job duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we look for 

Required Qualifications: 

  •  Full-time student enrolled in a four-year college or university; currently enrolled in at least  junior year within an engineering curriculum.
  •  Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 out of 4.0 overall grade point average.
  •  Broad technical background in areas of electrical engineering, mechanical design and control system development.
  •  Strong analytical, conceptual and organizational skills.
  •  Proficient in MS Office applications.
  •  Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  •  Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
  •  Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time and without restriction during your internship at company location.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently. 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred 

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20-24/hour (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
