Job Description

Position: Electrical & Control Maintenance Engineer  

 

Location: Hong Kong International Airport, T2 

Working hours: Shift (8 Hours or 12 Hours) 

 

Job Description: 

  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.  

  • Provide technical support and expertise to maintenance teams.  

  • Tackle electrical fault finding on equipment like Conveyors, ICS, EBS, NERAK lift and other automated system 

  • Inspect and test electrical components for safety and functionality.  

  • Replace or install new electrical systems and components as needed.  

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work through CMMS.  

  • Preparing and submitting Technical Report upon resolving the incidents  

  • Propose improvement on preventive maintenance programs to prevent breakdowns and improve performance.  

  • Monitor and manage the availability of spare parts and work closely with Spare Parts Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator.  

  • Supervise maintenance technicians and coordinate with maintenance partner on maintenance and troubleshooting activities.  

  • Work effectively with other engineers, technicians, and operational staff.  

  • Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety regulations, codes and quality standard

Skills and Qualification: 

  • A technical bachelor’s degree/diploma in Electrical or similar. 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance of automated Baggage Handling System, Material Handling Systems or similar industries having high-level and low-level control systems. 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of Industrial automation control systems based on PLC 

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of electrical principle, systems and equipment. 

  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues.  

  • Knowledge and experience with industrial control equipment i.e. PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc. 

  • Knowledge of and experience with Maximo or equivalent CMMS. 

  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting using PLC, Siemens S7 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple demands, and meet deadlines.  

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.  

  • Good Reading, Writing and Communication skills in English language and local language.
