Job Summary
Responsibilities
Support creation of clinician and clinical staff webinars for the STEP 2 HPV self-collection implementation trial.
Participate in systematic review of community engaged research training programs.
Analyze qualitative data from Photovoice study.
Support evaluation of the Cancer Connections and No Smoker Left Behind programs; these are Cancer Center outreach programs that offer education about cancer prevention behaviors, tobacco cessation services, cancer screening services, and encourages community responsive research.
Work with faculty (Tiro, Lee, King) to execute the analytic plan, generate data visualizations, collaborate on data interpretations, and write/assemble reports and PowerPoint presentations.
Represent the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCCCC) with respect to outreach activities: establish and maintain contact with a wide range of external organizations (e.g., academic, advocacy, professional, community) invested in community education, outreach and community research on both a local and national level; assess and integrate local and national cancer resources.
Integrate the UCCCCs outreach activities with related institutional efforts.
NCI Collaboration: Disseminate NCI messages, materials, programs and research opportunities as requested; increase awareness and foster adoption of NCI recommendations on cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment adapted for targeted audiences/communities.
Engage in community-based educational outreach; disseminate culturally appropriate, evidence-based information and educational materials on cancer prevention and treatment, including clinical trials accrual.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Maintains recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support. Has general awareness in research techniques or methods, regulatory policies and procedures, and relevant scientific field.
Performs other related work as needed.
