Zurich Full time

At Julius Baer, we celebrate and value the individual qualities you bring, enabling you to be impactful, to be entrepreneurial, to be empowered, and to create value beyond wealth. Let’s shape the future of wealth management together.

Passionate about technology and its role in legal and compliance excellence? Join our global team as an E-Discovery Analyst and become a key player in managing the full E-Discovery lifecycle.

In this dynamic role, you’ll identify, collect, process, analyse, and produce electronically stored information (ESI) across the Bank in response to legal, regulatory, and investigative demands. Partnering with Legal, Compliance, IT Security, Data Privacy, and Risk teams, you will leverage industry-leading technologies to deliver accurate, defensible, and timely results. Your work will directly strengthen the Bank’s regulatory resilience and risk management—making a real impact in one of the world’s leading wealth managers.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Manage end-to-end E-Discovery case requests from intake through final production, ensuring adherence to policies, timelines, and data privacy standards

  • Collaborate with fellow E-Discovery Analysts and act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, Risk, IT Security, and Data Privacy teams; communicate case status, risks, dependencies, and technical constraints clearly and proactively

  • Identify, preserve, collect, and process custodian data from diverse sources (e.g., email systems and archives, file shares, endpoints) while maintaining chain-of-custody and auditability

  • Perform data deduplication, filtering, culling, and enrichment using industry-standard technology to reduce volumes and prepare datasets for review

  • Conduct pre-review quality checks and validation procedures to ensure completeness and integrity of collected data

  • Set up and support the review and analysis phase through general case administration, execution of advanced searches, and customisation of analytical workflows and review coding layouts

  • Execute productions with targeted redactions—where applicable—ensuring outputs meet legal, regulatory, jurisdictional standards, and specific matter requirements

  • Generate regular reports on review progress, relevant metrics, and overall case summaries for Management; maintain comprehensive documentation of all actions taken throughout each case

  • Ensure compliance with Swiss banking regulations, GDPR, and global data protection principles when handling personal and sensitive financial data

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of E-Discovery processes, templates, playbooks, and training materials

  • Partner with IT, Cybersecurity, and Data Governance teams on data retention strategies, legal hold implementations, and infrastructure considerations affecting E-Discovery readiness

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, IT Management, Law, or a related discipline; certification in E-Discovery (e.g., Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS), Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA)) is a plus

  • Minimum of 2–4 years’ professional experience in E-Discovery or Forensic Technology, preferably within financial services or regulated industries

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with Relativity, including general administration, processing, data imports, dtSearch, production workflows, and dashboards

  • Familiarity with other E-Discovery/Forensic Technologies is considered a strong advantage (e.g., Nuix, EnCase, FTK, Message Crawler)

  • Theoretical and practical understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), with particular strength in the processing, review, and analysis phases

  • Strong grasp of information governance principles, data privacy laws (including FADP, GDPR), and cross-border data transfer restrictions applicable to Swiss banks

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, and SQL; basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) are beneficial

  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple cases under tight deadlines as well as change management initiatives in the field of E-Discovery

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical processes clearly to non-technical audiences

  • High level of discretion and integrity when dealing with confidential and legally sensitive matters

  • Fluency in English required; German and additional languages are an advantage
