Job Description

Summary:

The Domain Expert supports sales at main customer pursuits by providing specific solution expertise in a defined geographical area. Domain Expert is the solution expert for the sales organisation by assisting with delivering outcome-based messaging to customers at executive and management levels. The Domain Expert has a broad understanding of all related products and delivery offerings from RA, partners and competitors in the designated solution area.

You will report to the Consultant Manager and will be, working in hybrid mode based in Gurgaon, India.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Be the focal point in the defined geography for the solution(s), of which you will have been designated as an expert.
  • Participate in account planning and sales strategy focusing on new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.
  • Facilitate and provide training to the Salesforce on the values and outcomes of specific solution(s).
  • Co-operate with the Salesforce in promoting the solution to existing new customers with presentations and demonstrations.
  • Advise Technology Consultants and sales on proposal generation and validation.
  • Assist sales at proposal presentations for executive level customers
  • Define and articulate differentiators and values versus competition for the solution. Analyse products, have knowledge of competitor's strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
  • Translate competitive solutions into a RA solution that meets customer's expectations.
  • Seek out and participate in training opportunities to develop technical skills.
  • Provide product gap and development feedback for the solution to appropriate organisations.
  • Share insights with global team members.
  • Focus on opportunities that support Rockwell Automation's strategy.
  • Understand business models, organisation, and go-to-market strategy, leverage
  • Knowledge of industry strategies, familiarity with outcome-based selling.
  • Share industry knowledge of customers based on their main causes at the appropriate role level with all customers.
  • Keep sales and customer relationship management data up to date in local agreed upon tools such as Salesforce automation, optimising by using these tools.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 or more Years of working experience.
  • Experience responding to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests value of larger Rockwell Automation application value, without the need to demonstrate individual products with hands-on demonstrations
  • Solution and application expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience.
  • Fluency in native language and command of English (written and spoken).
  • Work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a collaborative, matrixed team member organisation and align critical partners.
  • Support customer-centric approach. Understand the importance of demonstrating concern for satisfying customers. Passionate about developing goals to improve our customer experience.
  • Set, be accountable for and achieve challenging targets and Empower, coach and motivate others.
  • Communication style and messaging to different audiences.
