Under the direction of the Manager of Materials Management, prepares/assembles, distributes/transports med/surg supplies, equipment, food, patients and other items as may be necessary. Stocking supply rooms throughout the hospital. Initiating new supply areas to meet joint commission standard. Controlling par levels for each item by daily reordering. Rotation of product. Candidate will participate in Shipping/Receiving duties. Maintain clean and safe work environment.I. Major Responsibilities:
In accordance with hospital policies, procedures and standards, is responsible for the distribution of supplies and equipment:
1. Stock supplies to maintain required inventory levels in all clinical areas, according to departmental protocols.
2. Rotates and reprocesses supplies to assure that stock is current and up-to-date
3. Handles all stat requirements quickly and accurately.
4. Conducts physical inventory of supply locations.
5. Identifies and reports all supply distribution problems to Director.

License/Certification/Education:

1. High School graduate or equivalent
Experience/Skills:

1. Ability to work flexible shifts
2. Requires the use of ordinary arithmetic
3. Demonstrates ability to understand verbal and written communication.
4. Strong background in materials management.
5. Must be able to complete tasks without supervision.
6. Must be able to complete tasks without supervision.
7. Ability to move wheeled equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs.
OR equivalent combination of the above
Preferred:
1. Prior hospital experience
2. 1 year as a distribution aid recommended.
