The Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating and scheduling shop and field operations for stone, quartz, granite, and marble fabrication and installation projects. This position ensures optimal workflow efficiency, accurate scheduling, and timely project completion by effectively managing daily labor and resource assignments. The Dispatcher collaborates closely with production, installation, and logistics teams to support the seamless delivery of high-quality countertops while maintaining accuracy, communication, and operational excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate shop and field crews for countertop fabrication and installation.

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust daily labor schedules to meet project deadlines efficiently.

  • Monitor work schedules and proactively address any deviations to minimize delays and ensure workflow continuity.

  • Collaborate with shop and field leaders to verify that all materials and tools are ready prior to dispatch.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as the central point of contact for internal scheduling communications across departments.

  • Communicate real-time updates to team members regarding schedule changes, delays, or project status.

  • Work cross-functionally with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure alignment between schedules and job requirements.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain accurate scheduling and dispatch records, ensuring that data is current and easily accessible.

  • Perform administrative tasks to support scheduling, reporting, and daily dispatch operations.

  • Monitor field and shop workload to ensure balanced distribution of labor and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 2+ years of dispatching, scheduling, or coordination experience, preferably in construction, fabrication, or installation environments.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in stone, quartz, granite, or marble fabrication and installation.

  • Experience using scheduling or ERP systems.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ability to quickly learn scheduling software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and field crews.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build productive relationships across departments.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and find effective, timely solutions.
