Job Description

Position Summary:

Primary responsibility for the Australian Materials and Minerals (M&M) Spares and Aftermarket Division for order picking, packing and dispatch tasks for all domestic and support for international orders. Including the creation of all export documentation, including labelling and Commercial Invoice (CI) preparation. Handle all international freight queries and issues relating to order status with customer service teams as vital. Support the goods receiving function for the accurate receipt of materials and items (goods inward) into the Adelaide facility Stores and “pick” and book items from store to fulfill picking list requirements for production. Support of production operations as required.

Responsibility of accurate materials holding and to perform regular cycle counting in stores. Management of KanBan material items and placing orders with suppliers for replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispatch spare parts for our customers both within Australia and Overseas.
  • Arrange transport and when required export documentation for international spares orders
  • Complete all associated dispatch paperwork, including non-conformance items.
  • Acquire domestic freight quotes and collaborate closely with international customers for ex-work shipments and collections
  • Record keeping of selected orders status
  • Adhere to internal record keeping policies

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, receipt and store goods. Verify all items are as per purchase orders.
  • Identify and report to team leader any non-conformances or items requiring inspection and test prior to store receipting.
  • Provide colleagues with general advice in relation to the goods inward function.
  • Maintain levels of consignment notes
  • Maintain packing Kanban levels and process replenishment orders
  • Cycle counting of stores items for inventory control

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Dedicated experience working in a fast-paced dispatch area.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing freight for export, through the Pick, pack and labelling stage
  • Shipping and Customs document preparation
  • Booking domestic and international consignments
  • Loading and dispatching small to large vehicles
  • Minimum Year 11 completion and pass
  • Forklift license
  • Good PC and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) skills
  • Hands-on experience with on-line freight booking portals well regarded
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Highly attentive to detail and skilled at spotting inconsistencies and variations, with the ability to handle the resolution process
  • Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish objectives
  • Previous experience in goods receipting, preferably in a similar store’s environment with industrial electro-mechanical type parts and assemblies
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system
