13The Team:
Our Structured Credit team, within the Structured Finance sector, provides credit ratings of structured products that are backed by pools of assets, with a primary focus on Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) transactions. You will report to the Analytical Manager, Structured Finance and collaborate closely with several highly experienced industry specialists. The team is comprised of 20 analysts based out of London, Paris, Dublin and Frankfurt offices. This Director position is based in London. As part of our team, you'll work within a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and leverages networks across functions to ensure strategic alignment with our global mission.
The Impact:
You will enhance our ability to serve clients efficiently and effectively by demonstrating outstanding analytical excellence. As a Director, you will have direct analytical responsibility for a portfolio of credits, including conducting credit and financial analysis, reviewing transaction documents, running credit models, and preparing analytical documentation.
You'll serve as an escalation point ensuring quality delivery while connecting your work to our broader strategy. Your expertise will be recognized as you coach others on complex matters and collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate diverse perspectives. You will provide analytical reasoning in committee discussions, proactively address issues, and serve as an ambassador for S&P Global Ratings with market participants.

Responsibilities:
Independently preparing and presenting comprehensive analysis and recommendations to credit committees
Conducting analyses on complex SF transactions with appropriate risk factor identification, measurement, and presentation
Acting as a committee chair member to decide ratings outcomes
Working closely with analysts to provide research and analysis for the Structured Finance team
Reviewing and running cash flow models with precision and attention to detail
Analyzing data and reviewing documentation for the analytical team
Undertaking research in support of S&P Global Ratings published commentaries
Communicating with clients and market participants for rating rationale and criteria application
Modeling leadership behaviors and coaching and mentoring junior staff
Understanding and implementing S&P's Policies and SOPs
Leading special projects within Structured Finance as appropriate
Leveraging your professional network to ensure strategic alignment and stakeholder buy-in across functions
Incorporating diverse perspectives into analytical solutions and maintaining quality standards across all deliverables
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related subject
6-8 years of relevant experience in CLOs and SME CLOs. Candidates at this level typically have 8 or more years of analytical work experience in the financial services industry
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex market trends
Experience in managing and interpreting data for analytical purposes with advanced proficiency
Demonstrated analytical capability, team collaboration skills and excellent time management skills
Proven ability to multi-task and deliver projects within tight time frames
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, vlookups, pivot tables, data filters). Proficiency in VBA and/or Python is highly valued
Leadership skills and change management aptitude - the capacity to challenge views, processes, and behaviors, especially in complex areas
Experience operating with autonomy and requiring minimal direction while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes
Demonstrated ability to leverage networks across functions and at senior leadership levels for strategic alignment
