We require a Director, Software Development Engineering with a passion for quality Software Engineering to join our team working with us on the latest in Clinical Trials software. You will have proven experience leading a team of developers and also as a key individual contributor setting technical direction, mentoring and collaborating across teams to deliver enterprise software solutions.

Essential Job Duties:  

  • Leading on significant parts of the code base and mentoring/coaching junior developers. 

  • Setting technical direction and helping to guide the software architecture. 

  • Design and code servers, services and applications that are reusable, scalable and meet critical architecture goals (Java/Scala, Angular). 

  • Own the Lean/Kanban process for your team and work with all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution to any blockers. 

  • Work across teams and with product owners and QA to clarify and document requirements/specs and create automated functional and unit tests (BDD, TDD) 

  • Support Operations and Service Delivery teams in delivering solutions and troubleshooting problems in production deployments     

  • Thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills.     

  • Solve problems, debug, troubleshoot, design and implement solutions to complex technical issues, you are action oriented and able to balance getting things done with making things perfect.  

 

Basic Qualifications (minimum requirements needed to perform this job): 

  • Significant engineering experience, 12+ years focused on delivering value 

  • Proven experience in technically leading a team of Software Engineers and mentoring/coaching other developers 

  • Expertise in building secure and performant enterprise services at scale 

  • Competent at Test Driven Development 

  • Strong software design skills 

  • Skilled in estimation and sizing 

  • Hands-on experience with functional programming using a modern language (Scala, Java, TypeScript) 

  • Have proven ability to learn new skills quickly and use the skills efficiently

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure with modern web technologies (Angular, React) 

  • Understanding of multiple design paradigms (Object-Oriented, DDD, Functional Programming, SOA) 

  • Working knowledge of RDBMS systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL) 

  • Familarity with Kubernetes cloud deployments 

  • Experience working with CI/CD and SaaS systems 

  • Knowledge of Healthcare and Clinical Trials domain 

 

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bsc in Computer Science field or equivalent experience 

 

Compensation


The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

Min – Max :

₹6,968,547.60 - ₹12,941,588.40 (INR)
