What is the opportunity?

You will provide support, advice and coaching to the Regional Vice President and managers to increase leaders’ skills, knowledge and effectiveness. In addition, you will lead the integration, delivery and execution of National Office initiatives to facilitate the delivery a differentiated client experience while developing best in class sales and sales management.  You will lead advice-based discoveries and training to maximize capabilities/results and client experience.  As the successful candidate, travel will be expected regularly to do coaching at branches within market.

What will you do?

  • Provide consistent advice and counsel to RVP and managers in the implementation and execution of strategy including advice-based discovery visits, routines, and reporting to maximize effectiveness across teams

  • Act as an expert role model and master coach by providing coaching and development to RVP and managers

  • Identify gaps, best practices, and opportunities at the market, branch and advisors’ level, and recommends priorities, sequence, and action plans

  • Act as point of integration for market/s and national office groups, gathering feedback and formalizing a listening post environment for RVP and national office to enable the sharing of best practices and emerging trends

  • Support the integration of RBC Partners in the region to leverage client opportunities and maximize business performance

  • Provide regular updates with market/regional staff outlining key activities, initiatives and performance

  • Responsible for identifying, integrating and supporting implementation of training to meet role requirements through utilization of National Office and in-market support i.e. RBC Learning Services

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • This position requires strong business and organizational knowledge, planning and implementing capabilities with knowledge/experience across RBC Canadian Banking

  • Minimum 2-3 years previous leadership experience leading a retail banking branch

  • Strong knowledge and comfort in using and leveraging technology

  • Strong impact and influence competencies

  • Ability to build partnerships with stakeholders

  • Proven ability to take initiative and be viewed as a conceptual thinker

  • Completion of CSC/IFIC

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
