JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Patient Care Services is an integral member of the Division of Patient Care Services leadership team within Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS). This individual provides vision and guidance to develop highly competent clinical unit structures, exemplifying quality and safety and promoting a culture of innovative patient-centered care. The Director of Patient Care Services has accountability for successful operation of acute care services for individuals and processes within the departments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. Employees who are employed by MCHS via an acquisition may have different qualifications based on the role previously held at the acquired entity.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Preferred/Optional: Master’s degree in nursing or health related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Five years’ experience in nursing with two years nursing management experience.
Preferred/Optional: Experience in project management and strategic initiatives.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: State of Wisconsin Nursing license.
Preferred/Optional: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
