Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sr. Director I, Strategy and Planning for T-Mobile Accounts, the Director, Strategy & Analytics will be a strategic leader helping to define the strategic vision, driving data-driven decision-making and execution across the organization. This role will lead a team focused on analyzing market and customer trends, defining strategies, and monitoring key initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Director will also ensure timely data flow for management decisions, prepare internal and customer-facing briefs, and set agendas. Leveraging strong selling, influencing, and storytelling skills, this leader will persuade executives and drive positive change at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans, including market analysis, competitive assessments, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Lead weekly Account team meetings, maintain the Account team calendar, and lead leadership calls (agenda, etc.).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish performance metrics, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs to inform decision-making and ensure organizational agility.
  • Oversee the development of financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and resource allocation.  Including, by not limited to, new model / category forecasting, pre-order monitoring and extrapolation, and future potential demand analysis.
  • Craft compelling narratives & storylines for internal and external leadership meetings, tailoring content to specific audiences and ensuring team alignment through regular touchpoints.
  • Responsible for annual and quarterly business strategy roadmap planning and creation in support of management plan targets working cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, SCM and Product teams.
  • Responsible for cross functional development of bottoms up annual MP planning cycle.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization, promoting collaboration and effective communication across departments.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business or economics.  Master degree preferred
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in strategy consulting or a similar role, preferably within the mobile industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and fluency working with MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with advanced analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau are a plus
  • Requires 10+ years of experience leading a high-performance, product management, planning or marketing team preferably in a multi-national corporate environment
  • Must excel in building strong customer relationships at the VP/Director levels, and possess the skill and presence to represent Samsung across a range of product, technology and marketing disciplines
  • Must have a passion for getting things done and proven experience in working across teams in a collaborative way
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Unimpeachable integrity, viewed by C-level executives as utterly trustworthy
  • Comfort with ambiguity, able to navigate through uncertain situations and drive for clarity

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $212,500 and $233,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
