GENERAL PURPOSE:
We’re seeking a Director of Sales to lead and scale our SMB (Small & Medium Business) Energy Sales team. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth within the larger Energy sales team, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and fostering strong team cohesion through coaching and mentorship. This is a pure leadership role—no individual quota—focused on coaching, inspiring, and driving results through others.
You’ll manage a growing team of 6–10 sales professionals who are focused on deals up to ~5,000MWh. Your expertise in direct energy sales, strategic thinking, and risk-taking will be key to unlocking your team’s full potential.
Reports to: VP of Sales, Energy
Direct Reports: Team of SMB Sales Executives
Hybrid Schedule: 4 days in-office/week.
Travel: 30-40% based on client needs, team meetings, leadership summits, etc.
