As a Director of Sales for Airport Butler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to developing and execute a comprehensive business development strategy and sales plan to drive market and expand revenue growth.

Ideal candidates will have relevant sales experience with airline, airport travel agencies, DMC’s, ground transportation companies, meet and greet services, meetings and events, selling travel to fortune 500 companies.

Airport Butler provides a personalized and an unsurpassed concierge service to travelers in airports in the United States and Canada.  The service is independent from airlines and customized for any who wants to experience a personalized service and extra care when arriving, departing, or connecting through an airport. Our clients are primarily made up of executives, inexperienced travelers, families, senior citizens, celebrities, and small group travel.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through market analysis, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Work with customer service manager to ensure the onboarding of new clients, ensuring seamless integration and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including airline partners, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to align business development initiatives with overall company objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Oversee proposal development and contract management, ensuring compliance with company policies and client expectations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Prepare and present regular updates to senior management on business development performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Represent AGI at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the company’s brand and capabilities.
  • Identify and implement strategies to achieve sales AGI revenue goals and objectives.
  • Set short and long-term priorities and develop annual goals while adhering to budgeting, forecasting, and financial control processes.
  • Conduct sales review with each assigned region to address market-specific tactics, revise forecasts, and support the achievement of customers' objectives.
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and direction to the Business Unit members in maintaining and expanding customer relationships and meeting revenue and margin goals within the business unit.
  • Proactively identifying and effectively addressing operational issues/challenges that negatively affect business performance.
  • Establish and maintain high-level executive contact with accounts, focusing on the establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships.
  • Manage the execution of sales processes and leverage appropriate resources to drive sales objectives.
  • Responsible for prospecting, developing, and closing new account sales.
  • Build and develop a high performing sales team.
  • Evaluate market activity and business intelligence, and recommend action plans as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent travel via car or airplane.
  • Prolonged periods of standing when attending events.
  • Ability to move around and network.  to occasionally lift / carry / push / pull and move items 25 pounds (or more).
  • Must be able to use close vision and sit for long periods of time.

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Good Communication Skills – Director of Sales, must have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Customer Service Skills – Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Knowledge of how to develop client focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.
  • Understand of how to position products against competitors
  • Computer skills: Proficiently use tools like Microsoft, Excel or Google Sheets for tracking, sorting, and analyzing sales data, creating formulas and generating reports.
  • Problem-solving skills: Listen to understanding the core issues from both the team and clients to make them feel valued.
  • Time management skills: Director of Sales must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:

  • Must have 7 to 10 years of sales experience in an executive-level position such as Sales Manager, Marketing Director or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Must have experience with airlines, airports, travel agencies, DMCs, ground transportation companies, meet and greet services, meetings and events, selling travel services to fortune 500 companies.  
  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.
