Director of Government Sales, Aviation & Maritime

Remote; United Kingdom Full Time

Tomorrow.io’s Government Business Development Team enables nations, aviation, and maritime authorities to manage risk faster than the speed of weather.

We work with global aviation and port institutions to modernize operations, ensure safety, and build resilience through next-generation weather, ocean, and climate intelligence.

As Director of Government Sales - Aviation & Maritime, you will lead Tomorrow.io’s public-sector air and sea transport vertical globally. You will drive partnerships with Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs), Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), Port Authorities, and Maritime Administrations, advancing airspace and port modernization, weather and ocean forecasting systems, and green transport initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel to meet with customers, partners, and government stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end aviation and maritime sales cycle , from prospecting to closing multi-year public-sector contracts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with CAAs, ANSPs, Port Authorities, and Ministries of Transportation and Marine Affairs.
  • Lead channel and partner management, driving growth in priority markets.
  • Manage RFPs, tenders, and donor-funded programs (ICAO, IMO, World Bank, ADB, JICA, etc.).
  • Represent Tomorrow.io at aviation and maritime industry events worldwide. Work cross-functionally to tailor solutions for airspace, port, and coastal infrastructure modernization.

  • Work with internal teams to tailor solutions for air, sea, and coastal operations.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

What you bring:

  • Fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • 10+ years of government or institutional sales experience.
  • Proven success selling to public-sector or enterprise customers, ideally in SaaS, data, or tech solutions; experience in aviation or maritime industries is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of airspace and port operations, ICAO/IMO frameworks, and modernization programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex public tenders and donor-funded initiatives.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships with government and international organizations.
  • Consistent record of quota achievement and data-driven pipeline management.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up or growth-stage environment.
  • Self-motivated, strategic, and execution-oriented, with strong ownership and mission focus
