Director, IT - AMC Segment

Scope of leadership role:

The Segment IT Director will be a key participant leading the strategic planning, implementation, and operation of the AMC segment IT strategy. The Segment IT Director will work closely in conjunction with the Division VP/GMs and the Regal Rexnord Corporate IT team supporting current operations and long-term business objectives. This leader will be responsible for developing plans that support division and corporate strategic goals. The right candidate will be a strong change agent both externally and internally working across the Regal Rexnord organization. This role reports directly to the EVP & President - Automation and Motion Control (AMC) Segment of Regal Rexnord Corporation & indirectly to the corporate IT function. The Segment Director, IT will specifically focus on: 

  • Partnering with Corporate IT to ensure enterprise IT strategy, compliance, ERP and back-office solutions enable operational and commercial excellence and partner with the business to ensure that IT enables the business to achieve its strategic objectives to drive results and improve business processes.
  • Collaborating with AMC executive leadership to define and execute the IT strategy. Participating in and providing strategic direction and oversight for the delivery of IT solutions that fulfill business segment needs.
  • Leveraging the corporate resources and systems to support the AMC segment, divisions, and business units to maximize efficiency & output.
  • Evaluating division technology, processes and creating and implementing effective go-forward IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End IT Strategy
    • Partner with AMC leaders to identify and evaluate opportunities to apply technology, data and other business applications to drive organic growth, lower costs, and improve the user experience.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the RRX team regarding the use of technology to drive business value.

  • System Integration Project Management
    • Critical partner in overall ERP, Digital & Backoffice systems and will play a critical role in the implementation of all future business systems and tools
    • Lead ERP system strategy across AMC Segment in conjunction with corporate IT. Create and execute multi-year roadmap with clear sets of objectives, milestones and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders on system design, implementation and testing of integration solutions to meet business needs and to comply with internal standards.
    • Lead continuous improvement of integration management methodologies, tools, and best practices, including support of the implementation and standardization of improvements system wide.

  • Operations
    • Support digital technologies and initiatives including web, eCommerce and CRM. Ensure AMC is a leader in the industry and with competitors.
    • Partner with Corporate IT & and other business functions to ensure AMC has an effective master data management strategy where data is appropriately codified to become a source of competitive advantage.
    • Monitor the progress of implemented IT initiatives to ensure the desired results are being achieved and the learnings are captured and applied to other initiatives.
    • Develop and implement an operating model that best achieves the IT strategy.

  • Leadership & Continuous Improvement
    • Keeps the organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
    • Champion an agile culture across all business functions within AMC.
    • Develop the talent, skills and behaviors required to drive IT transformational business.
    • Establish and lead the culture required to expand the digital customer experience initiative.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have proven experience in building, supporting and managing an IT business and driving IT transformation.  In addition to demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization, this leader must have the passion, energy and intellectual curiosity necessary for a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • High-level leadership role with experience in business applications and ERP systems.
  • Broad-based experience in multiple facets of an IT environment. 
  • Facilitate organizational change, manage the dependencies and address any project – or organizational level issues and risks that affect strategic or project delivery.
  • Ability to use analytics to drive business growth.
  • Excellent managerial and leadership skills; the ability to recruit, train and mentor an outstanding, committed, passionate team.
  • Commercial mindset to drive various digital incubator models.
  • Past success in driving IT transformation.
  • Visionary but grounded and practical.  Familiar with the challenges of transforming and disrupting traditional industries.
  • Strong collaborator and influencer. A leader who can successfully work with cross- functional teams to deliver outcomes.
  • Familiar and fluent in multiple technologies and platforms used by others to transform their business model and industry.
  • Effective executor: gets things done and can implement complex transformation programs in a global organization.
  • Effective communicator:  Demonstrates strong executive presence and the ability to interact with the Regal Leadership Team and outside partners – including the ability to be succinct and simplify/clarify digital-speak” in his/her communication style.

This role is preferred in Rosemont, IL or Milwaukee, WI, however we are open to remote for the right candidate.

“Expected Base Salary Range: $ 141,100-$221,100
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.”
