Introduction:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and visionary Director of Design to lead the next wave of semiconductor innovation. This is a rare opportunity to build world-class RTL, DV, DFT, and Physical Design organizations from the ground up, shaping the strategy, culture, and execution model of a high-impact engineering organization.

This role goes beyond execution leadership—it is about scaling a global engineering footprint. The Director will establish and lead SoC execution teams in India, while collaborating tightly with worldwide engineering centers, third-party IP providers, internal IP development teams, EDA tool vendors, program managers, and customers. You will play a pivotal role in delivering platform driver devices that serve as key enablers for our technology roadmap, while setting the bar for execution excellence.

Your Job:

• Build, scale, and inspire global engineering teams across RTL, DV, DFT, and PD, creating a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

• Establish, grow, and lead SoC execution teams in India to become a cornerstone of the company’s semiconductor execution strategy.

• Own the delivery of platform driver devices, ensuring end-to-end execution from concept through silicon bring-up.

• Partner with external IP vendors to negotiate and track deliverables, quality benchmarks, and schedules.

• Align closely with internal IP teams to drive reuse, standardization, and seamless integration.

• Collaborate with EDA vendors to optimize flow efficiency, influence roadmaps, and resolve scaling challenges.

• Work with program managers to deliver against complex schedules, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure clean execution.

• Serve as a trusted technical interface with customers, translating needs into execution strategies and delivering world-class results.

• Implement metrics-driven program health tracking, risk management frameworks, and silicon readiness processes.

• Act as a thought leader and strategic driver of organizational growth, technology adoption, and execution discipline.

Other Responsibilities: 

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

• Proven track record in leading SoC/platform execution and managing large cross-functional semiconductor design organizations.

• Demonstrated success in building organizations from the ground up, including hiring, mentoring, and scaling teams for execution success.

• Experience in working with third-party IP suppliers, EDA vendors, and customer-facing engagements.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to motivate and align multidisciplinary teams.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep technical expertise across RTL, DV, DFT, and PD methodologies, with strong industry knowledge of SoC design flows and IP integration.

• Global leadership experience, with ability to grow and lead engineering teams in India as part of a worldwide delivery model.
